About Me

Profile

Amy Howse (BSc, MRCSLT, HCPC, MASLTIP)

Amy first became interested in speech therapy when a friend had a stroke that affected her ability to speak. Regular visits from a fantastic speech therapist had a hugely positive impact on her life.

Amy was inspired to volunteer for the Stroke Association and later undertook a BSc in Speech Sciences, graduating as a Speech & Language Therapist from University College London in 2009.

Over the last 10 years, she has developed specialist skills working with adults in a wide range of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation units, outpatient clinics, nursing/residential homes and home settings.

Amy has experience working in a variety of locations from London to Delhi to the Isle of Man, where she now happily lives with her partner and her collie.

Amy is passionate about supporting each individual, and families, from a holistic perspective and as a qualified yoga teacher & Sound Therapist, she is able to integrate wellness and relaxation techniques alongside Speech Therapy interventions.
